Elizabeth is often engaged preparing Applications, Answers and Motion materials in Family Law matters

Elizabeth has been working with Parker & Company since 1999 as a law clerk. Elizabeth assists counsel in all aspects of Family and Estate Law. Elizabeth is often engaged preparing Applications, Answers, Motion materials in Family Law matters and preparing Applications for Certificate of Appointments and helping Estate Trustees obtain Probate and administer Estates. She is routinely attending to the drafts of Wills, Powers of Attorney and related conveyancing documentation and/or the purchase and sale of real estate.

Example Cases
  • Our client and his wife managed to reach a settlement after years of litigation, which included complicated terms relating to the buyout of his family business. For tax reasons, it was necessary to expedite their divorce. Elizabeth prepared all of the necessary documentation in a rush, including a Motion to waive the Appeal and caused the Registrar immediately issue a Certificate of Divorce, all so that the corporate transaction could be completed.
  • Our clients, the children of their deceased mother, or attempting to administer their mother’s Estate. Elizabeth search title to their mother’s home, to determine if a Certificate of Appointment of Estate Trustee With a Will was necessary, and confirmed that the property could be transferred to the Estate from the names of their late parents without a Certificate via a complex Survivorship and Transmission Application, saving the Estate over $20,000 dollars in probate tax and legal costs. Elizabeth prepared the documentation for review, obtained pre-approval from the Land Registrar to the Application, and with counsel, supervising, cause the property to be transferred to the Estate Trustees, allowing the property to be sold to a third-party on an expedited basis.
